In order to reduce the use risk of formaldehyde, Leo-MTS Chemical Laboratory do research on this project and participate in the national Formaldehyde Proficiency Testing P00012-2011-T01 determination of Free and Hydrolyzed Formaldehyde in textiles. This proficiency testing program is implemented by the Beijing Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine, Inspection and Quarantine Technology Center as a proficiency testing provider (PTP, PT0012). The proficiency testing project is determination of Free and Hydrolyzed Formaldehyde in textiles, with test method of water extraction method, and based on the ISO14184.1, GB/T2912.1-2009 or its equivalent methods. In the proficiency testing reports, technical analysis and technical advice are given, which are facilitated for the participating laboratories to gain useful information, and helpful to the improve of the laboratory testing level. The z-score is used as the numerical indicator to assess individual participant’s performance in this program.

A total of 124 laboratories enrolled the program. Our laboratory which code is BM-085 participated in the proficiency testing program and the results are satisfactory . See as below:

Note: Z-score are commonly interpreted as follows:

(a) |Z| ≦ 2 Indicates “Satisfactory” performance and generates no signal
(b) 2<|Z|<3 Indicates “ Questionable” performance and generates an warning signal
(c) |Z| ≧ 3 Indicates “ Unsatisfactory” performance and generates an action signal
