Canada Toys Regulations (SOR/2011-17) has come into force on June 20, 2011Canada Toys Regulations (SOR/2011-17) has come into force on June 20, 2011. The new Toys Regulations replaced “Hazardous Products (Toys) Regulations (C.R.C., c. 931)”. Part Ⅰ and part Ⅱ of Schedule I about toy ban, restrictions and regulations in “Hazardous Products Act” have been transferred to the new “Toys Regulations (SOR/2011-17)”. Although the regulation has been transferred, safety requirements of
toys and other provided to children learn and play products have not
substantially changed. “Toys Regulations (SOR/2011-17)” become more
clear and understandable since regulations conversion. The changes of
part Ⅰ and part Ⅱ of Schedule I of “Hazardous Products Act” are as below:
