Toys safety standard ISO 8124-3: 2020/Amd 1:2023 published

On March 2023, International Organization for Standardization (ISO) published the amendment version of standard ISO 8124-3: 2020/Amd 1:2023 Safety of toys - Part 3: Migration of certain elements.

The main changes are as follows:
　　1. Add the definitions for slime, moldelling clay and putty;
　　2. For moldelling clay, add a migration limit requirement for boron (B) and update the barium (Ba) migration limit from 250 mg/kg to 350 mg/kg;
　　3. Adjust the putty to the category of moldelling clay, the migration limit requirement of putty is consistent with the moldelling clay;
　　4. Establish a new category toy materials of slime and propose migration limits for elements.
