EN71-3:2019+A1:2021 New version Published

On April 14, 2021, CEN published the standard EN71-3:2019+A1:2021 Safety of toys - Part 3: Migration of certain elements. The main change of this version is amending the requirements for aluminum (Al) migtation limit. This standard is expected to be harmonized under the 2009/48/EC TSD upon official acceptance by the European Commission (EC) and by publication in the Official Journal of the EU (OJEU).

The changes of Aluminum (Al) migtation limit are as follows:

Category I: dry,brittle, powder-like or pliable toy material
Category II: liquid or sticky toy material
