ASTM F963-16 become a Mandatory Standard

On February 2, 2017 the CPSC issued a direct final rule to establish ASTM F963-16 as the mandatory Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety. The rule is at 16 CFR part 1250 and incorporates by reference ASTM F963-16.

This rule is effective on April 30, 2017 and applies to all toys manufactured on or after that date.

LEO-MTS is one of the testing laboratories accredited by CPSC, and will apply ASTM F963-16 to testing immediately.
